Yard Dog Landscapes is a family-owned lawn care and landscaping company in Longview, Texas. Miller Maines started it with one truck and one trailer. The trucks are nicer now and the crew is bigger. How we work hasn't changed.
One truck, one trailer, and a stubborn idea
In 2017 Yard Dog was one truck, one trailer and the belief that lawn care should feel personal. The first yards were neighbors and friends. We mowed, we edged, we showed up when we said we would, and word got around Longview.
Almost a decade later we still answer our own phone, still walk every property before we price it, and still treat your yard like our own front lawn. We don't subcontract, so the people you meet at the walkthrough are the people who do the job.
Today our crews run weekly lawn routes and build patios, flagstone walkways, retaining walls, boat and RV pads, flower beds and drainage across Longview, White Oak, Kilgore, Lake Cherokee, Hallsville, Marshall, Tyler and the rest of East Texas. In the fall and winter, Yard Dog Lights hangs Christmas lights on homes across the area.
