Yard Dog Landscapes ("Yard Dog," "we," "us") is a family-owned lawn care, landscaping, and hardscaping company serving Longview, Kilgore, and the surrounding East Texas communities. This policy explains what information we collect from customers and prospective customers, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Contact information you give us directly: your name, mailing or service address, phone number, and email address, provided when you request a quote, book service, or apply for a job.
  • Service information: details about your property and the work you request, our estimates and quotes, scheduled visit dates, job notes, and photographs of the work performed.
  • Billing information: invoices, payment records, and payment status. Card payments are processed by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
  • Website usage data: standard analytics such as pages viewed, referring site, approximate location, and device type, collected through Google Analytics and advertising cookies.

How we use your information

  • To respond to quote requests and prepare estimates.
  • To schedule, perform, and follow up on the services you have requested.
  • To send you appointment reminders, crew arrival notices, weather-related reschedules, quotes, invoices, and payment reminders.
  • To answer your questions and provide customer service.
  • To improve our website and understand which services customers are looking for.

Text messaging (SMS) terms

Consent

By providing your mobile phone number to Yard Dog Landscapes, whether through our online quote request form, verbally over the phone, or in writing on an estimate or service agreement, you agree to receive text messages from us about your service. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any product or service. We do not purchase, rent, or otherwise obtain phone numbers from third parties for text messaging.

What we send

Messages relate to your own account and requested service: appointment confirmations and reminders, crew on-the-way and arrival notices, weather-related reschedule notices, notification that a quote you requested is ready, invoice and payment reminders, confirmation that work is complete, occasional seasonal service reminders, and replies to questions you send us.

Frequency, rates, and how to stop

  • Message frequency varies by customer and typically ranges from 1 to 8 messages per month.
  • Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time. You will receive one confirmation message and no further messages after that. Reply START to resubscribe.

Mobile information sharing

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

  • Service providers who operate our business on our behalf, such as our scheduling and invoicing software, our text message and email delivery providers, and our payment processor. They may use your information only to provide that service to us.
  • Legal requirements, when we are required to do so by law or to protect our rights, property, or safety.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics and advertising measurement, including Google Analytics and Google Ads. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking them will not prevent you from requesting a quote or contacting us.

Data retention

We keep customer records, including service history and billing records, for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Opt-out records are kept indefinitely so that we honor your request permanently.

Your choices

  • Opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the email.
  • Request a copy of, correction to, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable time, subject to records we are required to retain.

Children

Our services are directed to property owners and managers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
