What did Yard Dog build in White Oak, TX?
The customer's problem: the shed wasn't lined up with the ground next to it. Our crew built a timber retaining wall, filled it in and leveled the whole pad so a boat and RV can park right up to the building.
Jordan explains the job in the first video. The second is the build from the backyard: the wall going in, fill hauled with a track loader and the top raked level.

Hey y'all, this is Jordan from Yard Dog, and the problem that our customer had today was that the shed was not lined up with this ground. We had to build this retaining wall using pressure-treated timbers, and we filled it in with dirt and then used crushed concrete to level out this whole pad. How we built it
Timber retaining wall
Pressure-treated timbers were cut, set and leveled course by course along the pad line.
Fabric and fill
Drainage fabric went down along the wall and dirt was hauled in with a track loader to fill the pad.
Compacted
The fill was compacted with a plate compactor so the pad holds its shape.
Crushed concrete on top
Crushed concrete was spread and raked to level out the whole pad.

What is a boat and RV pad made of?
This one is a pressure-treated timber retaining wall filled with dirt and topped with crushed concrete, leveled so it lines up with the shed.
Why does a raised pad need a retaining wall?
Where the ground falls away, the wall holds the fill in place so the pad stays level and the edges don't slump.
